Q: How do I join the giveaway?

A: We run giveaways exclusively on lingodeer.com and our social media channels. To enter the giveaway, follow the instructions outlined in the giveaway widget, which varies with each sweepstake. For each completed action, you get one or more entries for the sweepstake. Each entry gives you one chance to win. In order to complete an action and collect your sweepstake entry, click on the respective action and follow the instructions.


Q: Why do you use the Gleam widget?

A: LingoDeer currently uses a third-party service called Gleam.io to run our sweepstakes. Gleam provides a safe and user-friendly way to run our giveaways.


Q: Is my personal data safe?

A: Yes. We will never share your data with third parties or use it to spam you.


Q: I already use LingoDeer, can I still enter the giveaway?

A: Yes. Our sweepstakes usually include free entries that don't require you to do anything in order to win.


Q: I wasn't able to complete some entries. What can I do?

A: Due to circumstances beyond our control, you may not be able to claim all the entries in a giveaway. There is nothing we can do about it, unfortunately. Please claim the available entries, which will still give you a chance at winning the prize.


Q: Can I enter the giveaway under multiple email addresses?

A: No, only one email address per person is allowed. We verify all winners. If we detect users using multiple addresses to enter the giveaway, they will be disqualified from winning the prize.


Q: How do you pick the winners?

A: Giveaway winners are selected through a random draw at the end of the giveaway period.


Q: When do you announce the winners?

A: We will announce sweepstake winners as soon as possible after the giveaway ends. Actual times may vary due to staff availability. The duration of the giveaway varies from sweepstake to sweepstake.


Q: How will I know if I win?

A: Winners will receive an email from a LingoDeer staff member informing them they have won the sweepstake. We do not use other channels to communicate with giveaway winners. In addition, we will update the giveaway page with the winner's first name and country of residence.


Q: I believe I've won a giveaway, what should I do?

A: Nothing. We contact giveaway winners directly through email. If you have not received an email from LingoDeer, then you have not won. If you have any questions, please contact us at hi@lingodeer.com.


Q: I didn't see the email/it went to the spam folder. What should I do?

A: In the situation where a giveaway winner has failed to reply to our messages within seven days, we reserve the right to conduct a second draw to select a different winner. In this case, the original winner forfeits all claims to the prize.


Q: Can I get cash or a different prize instead of the prize I won?

A: If we are not able to ship the prize to your country of residence, you will be compensated with an online gift card of equal MSRP value to the prize. In all other situations, winners can only be entitled to the original prize and cannot exchange it for cash, a gift card, or a different prize.


Q: How long will it take to receive my prize?

A: We will try our best to ship all prizes in a timely fashion. Prizes typically take 4-6 weeks to reach winners, but it can take longer in some cases. You will be notified when the prize has been shipped to you. Shipping times may be influenced by factors such as your country of residence, available shipping services, customs, duties, and other regulations. We cannot control these factors and we are not responsible for any delays caused by them.


Q: I won a giveaway, but I haven't heard from you in a while. What can I do?

A: We will strive to deliver the prize to you as soon as possible; but the acquiring, handling, and shipping of prizes can be very time-consuming. Furthermore, the staff member in charge of the process will have other responsibilities as well. We understand you are excited to receive your prize, but please be patient and wait for the terms we have specified in our communication to expire before you contact us again. Harassing us via email or complaining on social media will not help get your prize faster.


Q: There is a problem with the prize. Can you do anything?

A: We cannot help you with anything that happens to the prize after we ship it off. We are not responsible for lost parcels, damage incurred during shipment, shipments that are stuck in customs, or any other issues with the prize. We do our best to ensure that the prize is sent to you in working order, but we are not liable in any way if the prize malfunctions, stops working, or suffers from any other problem. We are not responsible for the warranty of your prize.


Q: Do I need to pay anything to get the prize?

A: We only cover the shipment costs for your prize. Depending on your country of residence, you may need to pay tariffs, duties, or other taxes in order to receive your prize. It's entirely your responsibility to fully comply with your country's laws and regulations.


Q: Why have I not won yet?

A: Our giveaway sweepstakes are very popular, drawing in tens of thousands of participants. It's possible to enter every giveaway and not win. We understand that can be frustrating, and our only advice is to keep trying.
