Getting started:

The first step any Lingodeer user needs to take after downloading the app and creating an account is to pick a language. Remember you can click on the Lingodeer logo at the top of the home screen to change your language at any time.

Learners who already have some proficiency in the language they are learning can tap on the golden keys located between skills to test out to higher skills, or even skip to the second level of a language outright by scrolling to the very bottom of the course.

Learning:

If you are a beginner learner you should always start at the alphabet skill, as it will often teach you necessary information regarding stress and pronunciation exceptions alongside explaining the new sounds and letters in each language.

Courses are made up of skills that can have 2-4 lessons, and at the beginning of each skill is a "Tips" section which should always be read first. You can also access these tips during the lesson exercises at any time by tapping the book at the top of your screen.

For learners who like challenges, complete a story lesson (at the end of each skill) which can help reinforce grammar structures learned in the skill while also introducing everyday topics and cultural tidbits.

Reviewing:

When progressing through the course, remember to review often to make sure you retain everything you are learning.

Lingodeer has a dedicated REVIEW tab that lets you review vocabulary and grammar across specific lessons or that are randomized across all completed skills.

Getting involved:

Lastly, get involved in the community by following your friends using the weekly rank feature. If you are especially ambitious you can compete with all Lingodeer users on the global leaderboard. Share your progress and ask questions on places like the official Lingodeer forums and other social media.
